GENERAL INFORMATION ON VISA REQUIREMENTS

• All applicants are required to apply in person to the Embassy or Consulate to obtain visa. If you are unable to attend in person due to a compelling reason, please contact the Embassy or Consulate beforehand to be exempt from this general rule.

• Visa application form must be filled in full before submittion to the visa officer during the appointment . Application form can be downloaded from the website or can be obtained from the Embassy or Consulate by sending a self addressed & stamped envelope with a brief letter explaining your request.

• All passport holders are required to have a minimum of three months validity on their passports when they leave Turkey.

• All travel document holders are required to have a minimum of one year validity on their travel documents from the date of entry into Turkey.

• All payments (visa and other administrative fees)  must be paid in cash or by postal order/company cheque (made payable to 'the Embassy or Consulate ').  Credit/debit cards, personal cheques are not accepted.

• Visa fees differ as to nationality and types of visa and, depending on your nationality, may not be refundable in case of refusal.

• Family members (partners & children) are permitted to make their applications at the same time during one appointment. Group applications will not be accepted

• Under normal conditions, visa applications take up to 3 working days to process.

• Please note that the validity of a visa starts on the day it was granted by the Embassy or Consulate unless otherwise specified. Please check your visa before leaving the Embassy or Consulate.
